Personnel protection from the harmful effects of 50 Hz electric field, electromagnetic radiation frequencies and the induced voltage

Protective shielding kits.

Scientific and Production Association "TECHNOSERVICE-ELECTRO" has qualified specialists with many years of experience in complex solving of problems of electromagnetic environment and electromagnetic safety, including the development of national standards for acceptable levels of electromagnetic fields, calculation and measurement of these fields, development and implementation of protective measures. The latter direction is the development and production of personal protection of human shielding kits.

Screening kits are made by official partner of SPA "TECHNOSERVICE-Electro" - the company "PA Energoform"

Shielding kits protect personnel that operate electrical over- and ultra- voltage installations including work performed in contact with connected air lines with voltage up to 1150 kV, and personnel that operate equipment that emits electromagnetic field radiation of radio frequencies. All of the types of screening kits are certified and meet the Russian State Standard GOST and the international standard IEC 60895. Their production, sale and use are resolved by Gossanepidnadzor of Russia.

SPA "Technoservice-Electro" in cooperation with "PA Energoform" has developed a number of models of screening kits that are a new generation of personal protective equipment:

Ёп-1 - Individual summer screening kit designed for use in all types of work on the potential of the land in the zone of influence of electrical voltage of 330 kV and above.

Ёп-3 - individual winter screening kit designed for use in all types of work on the potential of the land in the zone of influence of electrical voltage of 330 kV and above.

Ёп-4 (л) - individual summer screening kit designed for use in all types of work on the potential of the wires in the zone of influence of electrical voltage of 330 kV and above.

Ёп-4 (з) - individual winter screening kit designed for use in all types of work on the potential of the wires in the zone of influence of electrical voltage of 330 kV and above.

Ёп-4 (о) - individual summer screening kit designed to prevent electric shock when working in the area of ​​the induced voltage in electrical systems of all voltage classes.

Ёи-2 - individual screening kit designed for work in the zone of installations, which are a source of electromagnetic radiation frequencies

Screening kit tests.

Testing of screening kits of all types is preceded by tests of screening material. They are conducted in accordance with the requirements of EU standard 60895. Additional toxicological evaluation is also conducted in order to confirm non-toxicity of material, hygienic properties, abrasion resistance, tensile load and other determined mechanical characteristics. All shielding fabrics used in the screening kits such as Ёи-2, are determined by the protective properties (weakening of magnetic field) in the frequency range 800 MHz – 22 GHz at 11 fixed frequencies.

Testing of screening kits such as Ёи-2 is conducted in an anechoic shielded chamber with different types of emitting and receiving antennas. Determined features are easing of the electromagnetic field by different parts of the shielding kit, including a helmet, in the frequency range 40 MHz - 22 GHz at 21 fixed frequencies.

Tests of screening shoes and gloves included in the screening kits of all types, as well as screening tests of kits such as Ёп-1, Ёп-3, Ёп-4 and Ёп-4 (з) are conducted in accordance with the international standard IEC 60895. However, in contrast to the recommendations of the standard referred, the protective properties of screening kits are tested in a constant field of a plane capacitor, ie in the most severe conditions. Standardization of the electric field of testing installation allows unifying the test conditions and making test results comparable to the results for different samples of the same name sets.

Screening kits such as Ёп-1 and Ёп-3 when tested are placed on a grounded plate capacitor, and shielding kits of type Ёп-4 and Ёп-4(з) are connected to the plate under voltage.

Mannequin (phantom), which is used for testing of shielding kits of Ёп series, is equipped with a system of 64 miniature sensors. As the result can be determine not only the integrated security features of all sets (current offset), but the differential features (in the electric field), in different parts of the phantom’s body.

Expertise of electromagnetic safety of electrical installations.

SPA "TECHNOSERVICE-ELECTRO" conducts an independent examination of the electromagnetic environment, and certification of workplace where personnel assists the electrical equipment of energy and industrial companies.

The examination includes measurement of the levels of electrical and magnetic fields and comparing the measured values ​​with the limit values, established standards and (or) other cross-sectoral documents.

Measurements are taken at ground level throughout the electrical installation (near overhead lines - in the buffer zone) and on heights, with the rise on the equipment and on overhead support lines. For measurements we use a standardized technique, which is adequate for proposed mechanisms of electrical and magnetic fields impact, and existing measurement means to automatically determine the maximum module of electrical and magnetic fields tension with an accuracy of 5% at any position of the device.

The results of measurements include a map of fields circulation, combined with the plan of the examined installation (for substations), or cross-section profiles in sections with the lowest length from phase wires to the ground (for overhead high voltage lines), and protocols that include all necessary data, regulated by current guidelines.

The positive results of the measurements can be used for assessment of workspace and subsequent certification of electrical installations for compliance with safety regulations.

With negative results we make recommendations about use of protection, and (or) the protective measures, which in case of implementation can guarantee the electromagnetic safety.
